Shroud is a single-player and local two-player chess variant game. This policy explains what data the app collects — which is very little.
Shroud does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no login, and no network requests of any kind.
Shroud saves the following data locally on your device, in the app's own storage:
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Shroud does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.
The browser version of Shroud at shroudchess.com works the same way: the game itself makes no network requests once loaded, sets no tracking cookies, and stores your progress only in your own browser. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request logs (such as IP addresses) to serve and secure the site; we do not use them to identify or track you.
Shroud does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
